Faculty of Forest Sciences

The Faculty of Forest Sciences occupies a unique position. No other Swedish university conducts research and offers educational courses in forestry at the same level. The faculty also holds a strong position internationally, with by far the largest number of publications within the field of forestry.

    Forest entomology

    Insects cause substantial damage to forests. Bark beetles and pine weevils are two examples. At the same time insects provide services that make forests less vulnerable to disturbances. Our mission at The Unit of Forest Entomology is to generate knowledge that promotes healthy forests.
